We seek to enrich the lives of our members, families and the community we serve through lifelong participation and the promotion of individual development and wellbeing. Our vision is that everybody has the opportunity to be welcomed to take part in our games and culture.
The club has formal coaching links with schools in Darragh Cross, Saintfield Academy, Millennium Integrated, Crossgar and Killyleagh. We promote Gaelic games and Irish culture with a focus on the principles of respect and inclusiveness.
We currently participate in Gaelic football, camogie and G4MO (Gaelic for Mothers and Others). We also represent the club culturally with scór na nOg and scór sinsear.
The club has circa 400 members mainly from the Saintfield and Carrickmannon parish and provides opportunities for participation in Gaelic games for all; from children of primary school age through to our senior men and women’s teams. The club is at the heart of the community and has excellent partnerships in place with all in the local parish, schools and many other community organisations.

Killyleagh and District Family History Society
We are one of nine branches of The North of Ireland Family History Society, Reg’d charity NIC106071. Our aims are to encourage private and public study of family, local history, and genealogy, particularly focussed on the nine counties forming the province of Ulster. Collectively, we have over 1000 members both in the UK and across the world.
Meets first Monday of the month between September and May, with occasional additional Zoom meetings and arranged outings. Meetings are usually held in the Killyleagh Masonic Hall, 50 High Street, Killyleagh, BT30 9QF.

Killyleagh Development Association
KDA developed much of the historic centre of Killyleagh with the provision of 4 period properties on High Street as retail and business outlets, the development of the Harbour Area, Sloane Square and Scenic Coastal Walkway.
It oversees all potential development projects to maintain or improve the built and natural environment and conform to the Rural Village Conservation status of KDA in 1992. Currently KDA promotes Killyleagh as a tourist destination.

Killyleagh Horse Show
Organised by a subgroup of the Killyleagh, Killinchy, Kilmood and Tullynakill Agricultural Society founded in 1816. The show aims to maintain and promote the traditional country horse show and caters for riders of all ages, encouraging performance by the presentation of trophies and rosettes.
The show is an annual event, meeting in mid June in land at 32-34 Ringdufferin Road, Toye, Killyleagh. The precise date is published each year by the NI Shows Association in their annual calendar of events.

Killyleagh Youth Club Football Club
Killyleagh Youth Club Football Club provides football and recreational opportunities for young people in the local area. The club has several youth teams for both boys and girls, as well as two senior men’s teams.
The senior men’s team play in the NI Amateur Football League, training takes place on Tuesday and Thursday 7-8:30pm.
Under 15s play in the South Belfast Youth League, training takes place on Monday 7-8pm and Wednesday 7-8pm.
Under 13s play in the South Belfast Youth League, training takes place on Monday and Wednesday 6-7pm.

Little Stars Pre-School is a growing cross community, non-profit making group providing Early Years Education to children from 2 years 10 months to school age. We operate a morning session for pre-schoolers and an afternoon session for our Pre – Pre School.
We celebrate traditions throughout the year which include Halloween, Christmas, Chinese New Year and Easter. Celebrations include end of term graduation ceremonies for both sessions. Rhythm & Rhyme
Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0-4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Royal British Legion
Royal British Legion, Killyleagh/Killinchy Branch:
We support veterans, those in active service and their families, with finances and other vital services.
We are involved in commendation services and parades, not only in November but at other dates throughout the year.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month – excluding January and July – in the Dufferin Arms conference room at 8pm.

To give young people a head-start in life through nautical training, adventure and fun. Sea Cadets helps teenagers to stretch themselves and become the best they can be. We know what that takes because we’ve been doing it for over 160 years.

A community space with patio botanical garden, small museum, visitor displays on heritage and culture, art exhibitions and gift shop. We host the Killyleagh Friendship Club and a Youth Group. We run a Summer Scheme for children and ad hoc events such as wine tasting, talks, language and creative writing classes, and music recitals.

We are a completely volunteer led and run charity. Our opening hours are dependent on volunteer availability but usual hours are mornings 10am-12noon and afternoons 2pm-4pm. Evenings for bookable events.

Skiffie Festival
This annual event is sponsored by Newry Mourne and Down District Council.
Competitors from St Ayles Skiff Rowing Clubs from all over the UK, the Netherlands and Ireland descend on County Down to compete in this increasingly popular sport, in 2024 over 1100 rowers took part. Rowers aged from 11 yrs – 90 row in 1K and 2K races on the Quoile Estuary and this year the event has been brought forward to prepare competitors for Skiffie Worlds 2025 in July.
Skiffie Fest 2025 will take place on Saturday 31st May and Sunday 1st June at Delamont Country Park, Killyleagh.

The Charity Shop
The shop supports the Parish Church. It is run by a team of volunteers who make decisions together and report back to the Parish Church Vestry. A raffle is organised at Christmas to support charities decided on by the volunteers.

Urgent Care Centre / Minor Injury Unit
Urgent Care Centre: consultant-led service dealing with many common ailments people attend an Emergency Department for. Monday–Friday, 8am-6pm. Appointment only basis. NOT equipped to treat cardiac pain, strokes or major accidents.
Minor Injury Unit: nurse-led and currently operates Saturday-Sunday, 9am-5pm.

Yoga with Patricia
Yoga classes.
Patricia is an experienced yoga instructor who is qualified with the Yoga Therapy and Training Centre (YTTC) in Ireland. She has been teaching yoga for 20 years and has taught at schools, colleges and clubs in Northern Ireland. Patricia runs yoga classes that are suitable for all levels.
