The Model Village of Shrigley was built by John Martin for the workers of his Cotton Mill, 200 years ago in 1824. The long and complex history (at least part of it) is told on these panels which were designed and produced as part of the 200th Celebrations in August 2024. Shrigley is just a mile from Killyleagh so, visitors might enjoy the walk out to see the only remaining building – the memorial clock tower – and to read about the history or perhaps even glimpse some ancestors!
